Staff Report
The Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce presented The Grambling Connection with a Workforce Development Grant given every year to help new businesses in the area with their workforce development needs. This year, The Grambling Connection Media Group was among 4 recipients. “It’s an honor to be selected and this will definitely help us expand our staff which we are in the planning stages of doing now.”, said Lena Claybon, Publisher and Editor-In-Chief, as she accepted the award.
Other recipients included: Enhanced Skin and Beauty, Louisiana Tech Center for Hearing, and Choudrant Primary Care.
“Within the 3 years that we’ve been doing this, we’ve heard great things from the businesses we’ve been able to help. They’ve been able to provide resources for training that they may not have had previously or they been able to send staff off for training. So, the grants have been a big help.” Said Elizabeth Turnley, President of Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.
