Staff Report

On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, a press conference was held in Ruston to announce the recipients of the 2025 Workforce Development Grants given every year by the Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.  This year, The Grambling Connection Media Group was among the recipients.  “It’s an honor to be selected and this will definitely help us expand our staff which we plan to do at the first of the year.”, said Lena Claybon, Publisher and Editor-In-Chief, as she accepted the award.

Other recipients included: Enhanced Skin and Beauty, Louisiana Tech Center for Hearing, and Choudrant Primary Care.

“Within the 3 years that we’ve been doing this, we’ve heard great things from the businesses we’ve been able to help.  They’ve been able to provide resources for training that they may not have had previously or they been able to send staff off for training.  So, the grants have been a big help.” Said Elizabeth Turnley, President of Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.
